EIGHT

Michael Phelps won his 8th gold Olympic medal today in Beijing. He has done what no other human has done in the Olympics (of the modern era). He broke Mark Spitz record of 7 golds in a game and he has more gold medals from all olympics (14 golds) than any other athlete. He broke 7 world records while he was at it too.

I am really enjoying the Olympic games. Especially the swimming and gymnastics so far. So what's been your favorite moment?

I totally agree with you concerning Phelps. He's the greatest athlete of all times (even though I think Lance Armstrong is just as great). As a Swede and a cycling fan I think the two Swedish siver medals in cycling were great. Did you attend the Olympic games in Salt Lake City? I would love to see the Olympics sometime. Hopefully I get to see the 2009 Super Bowl.

Mr Karlsson,

Congratulations to Sweden on their medals too! I did not go to the Salt Lake City Olympics. I was living in California at the time, BUT I did attend the Olympics of 1984 in Los Angeles. They were great! You are going to the Super Bowl? (by the way, I love ABBA !!)

Yes, hopefully. I don't think that I will be able to find a ticket to the actual game, but just being in the same city during SB will be great. I'm a sucker for pretty much everything that is American. I'm a student in American history and love American sport. So the trip to Tampa will be followed by a road trip along the East Coast. Can't wait.
